Flying to Santo Domingo
Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) is the primary airport and where you should attempt to fly into.
The airport is an approximate 30-minute drive from the workshop venue.
Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is approximately a 2.5-hour drive and the Cibao International Airport (STI) is approximately a 2-hour drive from the workshop venue.
Transportation to the Hotel
Rental Car - There are multiple options for renting a vehicle for the conference.
Taxi - There are plenty of taxis available at the airport to take you to the conference hotel. The estimated cost of the shuttle is $30-$40 dollars each way. Remember to ask upfront for the rate.
Uber - Uber is available in the city however many Uber drivers in this city will try to negotiate the price of the Uber before coming to get you. Others may ask you if you are paying cash before they agree to pick you up. If you chose to use Uber your experience may not be as straightforward as it is in the United States.
Workshop Shuttle - A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is being coordinated with details to come later.
Other Travel Advice
There is a backlog to get passports approved, apply to get your passport as soon as possible
Be prepared to get a paper boarding pass when you get to the airport
We advise that all international attendees arrive at the airport three hours before your departure time
You must complete an online form before entering or exiting the country.
